Terms of service

The rules of using Wrap. We've tried to make this readable. If anything is unclear, ask.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating or sharing a wrap on wrap.watch you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Wrap. We can update these terms — see Section 11.

2. What Wrap is

Wrap is a personal slideshow tool that lets you create “wrap”-style presentations for the people in your life. It's an independent product, currently operated by a single person, and offered free of charge at the moment.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We aim to give notice for anything material but reserve the right to evolve the product as needed.

3. Your account

You sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping that Google account secure — anyone with access to it has access to your Wrap account. You must be at least 13 to use Wrap.

One person per account. Don't share login credentials, don't create fake accounts, and don't impersonate someone else.

4. Content rules

You agree not to upload or publish content that:

  • Is illegal in your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction of your recipient.
  • Harasses, threatens, defames, or doxxes another person.
  • Is sexually explicit involving anyone under 18, or non-consensual in any way.
  • Infringes someone's copyright, trademark, or right of publicity.
  • Contains malware, spam, or attempts to compromise Wrap's systems.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. We'll try to give notice and reason, but for clear violations we may act first and explain after.

5. Your content stays yours

You own everything you put into Wrap (photos, text, audio, etc.). By using the service you give us a limited license to store, process, and display that content for the purpose of running Wrap — including serving published wraps to your recipients. That license ends when you delete the content or the account.

We don't use your content to train AI models. We don't sell it. We don't share it with advertisers.

6. Third-party content

Some features integrate third-party content — Spotify embeds (via iframe), Giphy GIFs, Mapbox map tiles. Each provider has its own terms; using those features means you also agree to theirs. Wrap doesn't host or relicense their content — we just embed/link it.

7. Disclaimers

Wrap is provided “as is” and “as available.”We make no warranties about uptime, availability, data preservation, or fitness for any particular purpose. The service may have bugs. You shouldn't rely on Wrap as the only copy of important content — keep your own backups of photos, audio, and text you care about.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Wrap is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you, for any claim arising from these terms or the service, is capped at the greater of: (a) what you've paid Wrap in the 12 months before the claim (currently zero, as the service is free), or (b) USD $100.

9. Termination

You can stop using Wrap any time and delete your account by emailing hello@wrap.watch. We can suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms or if we wind the service down — we'll give you a reasonable window to export your wraps if we do.

10. Not affiliated with Spotify

Wrap is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to Spotify AB or any of its subsidiaries.

“Spotify” and “Spotify Wrapped” are trademarks of Spotify AB. Our visual style references the cultural phenomenon of year-in-review slideshows; nothing on wrap.watch is officially licensed Spotify content. Any Spotify content displayed (e.g. via playlist embeds on the playlist slide) is served directly by Spotify's own embed widget under your or your recipient's use of Spotify.

11. Changes to these terms

We'll update the “Last updated” date at the top whenever we change these terms. For material changes we'll email the address on your account. Continuing to use Wrap after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Singapore. If you're a consumer in another jurisdiction with non-waivable consumer-protection rights, this section doesn't reduce those rights.

13. Contact
